Black Myth: Wukong is an action RPG from Game Science that reimagines Journey to the West through Soulslike combat and staff-wielding boss battles.
Black Myth: Wukong is an action role-playing game developed and published by Game Science, drawing inspiration from the classical Chinese novel Journey to the West. Players take on the role of the Destined One, a staff-wielding monkey protagonist, as they navigate a mix of mostly linear levels and expansive areas.
The game incorporates Soulslike elements alongside a flexible skill system, with boss encounters that vary in intensity throughout the experience. It is the first installment in the Black Myth series.
Black Myth: Wukong is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms, with a release date of August 20, 2024. It is widely regarded as the first AAA game to come out of the Chinese video game industry.
