Crypt Custodian is a metroidvania platformer from Kyle Thompson in which a mischievous cat named Pluto is sentenced to eternal janitorial duty in the afterlife.
Crypt Custodian is a metroidvania-style platform game in which players take control of Pluto, a cat who has died and been assigned an unusual punishment: cleaning up the afterlife, forever.
As Pluto, players explore a large, interconnected afterworld, battling beasts and encountering other doomed ghosts along the way. The game blends exploration-driven platforming with combat as Pluto works through an endless custodial sentence in a world built for wandering.
Crypt Custodian is developed by Kyle Thompson and published by H2 Interactive Co., Ltd. It is available on Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and Nintendo Switch, and released on August 27, 2024.
