Gears of War: E-Day is an upcoming third-person shooter from The Coalition that tells the origin story of Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago on the day the Locust Horde first emerged.
Gears of War: E-Day is a shooter developed by The Coalition and published by Xbox Game Studios, set fourteen years before the events of the original Gears of War.
The story follows war heroes Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago as they return home only to face the sudden eruption of the Locust Horde, subterranean creatures that lay siege to humanity on what becomes known as Emergence Day.
Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game aims to deliver high graphical fidelity as it revisits the origins of the acclaimed Gears of War saga.
Gears of War: E-Day is planned for release on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC on October 6, 2026.
