Haste

Haste is a Doom II megawad featuring eighteen maps designed for Boom-compatible source ports, created by a group of mappers recognized for their work in the slaughter map genre. The project was originally led by Scotty before being taken over and completed by Insane_Gazebo.

Development direction shifted partway through the project. The maps were initially intended to be short, accessible challenges that lower-skilled players could complete on the Ultra-Violence difficulty setting, but after Insane_Gazebo took the reins, the style evolved toward longer, more demanding levels.

The WAD was released on the Doomworld forums on September 22nd, 2021, and received a Cacoward at the end of that year.

Haste is listed for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch, with a release date of April 1st, 2025.
