Vale's Echo

Vale's Echo casts players as Vale, a sarcastic soul who wakes up with no pulse, no past, and no memory aboard a mysterious train to nowhere. Guiding her is Echo, a floating skull with a taste for mischief and secrets of his own.

Together they travel through the underworld, meeting a strange cast of characters including fish-human hybrids, leech merchants, and spirits of questionable morality. Every conversation tests Vale's choices along with the player's empathy and sense of right and wrong.

Gameplay centers on dialogue choices, unsettling puzzles, and branching narratives that shape Vale's relationships, memories, and eventual fate as she works toward confronting Death itself.

The game pairs its surreal, cinematic visuals and melancholic score with darkly witty writing, aiming for a story that connects the eerie with the deeply human. Vale's Echo is in development for PC by Hollow Beak Games.
